Host a thousand creatures in your Laurel Canyon yard: A photographic presentation by wildlife expert Scott Logan

We are excited to welcome naturalist and wildlife photographer Scott Logan to Laurel Canyon this Sunday to discuss the astonishing range of biodiversity that can thrive in our backyards when we establish a native plant habitat.

In his engaging visual presentation titled An Intimate Wildlife Journey, Scott will use the wildlife photographs he has taken here in our own canyons to show how specific native plants interact with the creatures that have co-evolved with them.

Bring your questions! It’s also your chance to get his expert advice about which trees, shrubs, and garden features are most beneficial if you want to attract local insects and birds into your yards.

Here’s a link to Scott’s ongoing work documenting local wildlife species in The Gottlieb Native Garden.

BOOK RAFFLE! Scott will bring copies of his book The Gottlieb Native Garden: An Intimate Wildlife Journey. They normally sell for $50.00 but he will offer them for sale that day for $25.00. One lucky attendee, however, will win it for free, as he has kindly agreed to donate a copy to be raffled off at our meeting.

We are looking forward to chatting with Scott in the shade of our canyon oaks this Sunday afternoon, on the 15th of October…
